Leafcutter Ants
These Leafcutter Ants are known for their name, they damage leaves, can be seen making trails through the grass and chewing on these pieces of leaf and taking it back to their mound. These can have a big mound with almost 2 million ants living in their colony. They are mostly active during spring time and fall time and you can easily track where their colony is by tracking the ant.

These ants are red-black and are medium to large size.
